Capable of so much.
Still caught in the
same moments.

You manage a career, solve complicated problems, and handle a hundred responsibilities.

But with the people you love most, sometimes your response isn’t the one you intended.

01

One small thing. One big reaction.

You hold it together all day. Then a comment from your partner becomes the final straw.

02

You’re there. But you’ve gone quiet.

A conversation gets uncomfortable, and the words you want to say never quite come out.

03

Everyone’s okay. Except you.

You take care of everyone else’s needs until there’s nothing left for your own.

04

You fix the problem. Miss the connection.

You step in, take charge, and solve it—when what you really want is to feel close.

What if you don’t need to try harder?
What if you need to see the pattern?

It’s a pattern.
And patterns can change.

The strategies that helped you become capable, dependable, and successful may not create the connection you want in every situation. At Uprooted, we call these automatic patterns your Root Responses.

They aren’t inherently good or bad. The question is whether they’re moving you toward what you actually want.

Which one sounds
a little like you?

You may recognize more than one. Different situations can bring out different responses. Explore them below.

See yourself in more than one?

Find out which patterns show up for you.

From automatic.
To intentional.

You don’t have to become a different person. You can learn to recognize what’s happening—and choose what happens next.

Your Guarded side

The response that tends to show up when you’re triggered. It may help you navigate discomfort in the moment, while taking you away from the connection you intended.

“I just need to get through this.”
→

Your Grounded side

The response you develop through awareness and practice. It’s about recognizing what you need and choosing an action that supports the outcome you actually want.

“What would help me respond differently?”

Three minutes.
A new way to
understand yourself.

Not another label. A clearer picture of what happens between your intention and your behavior—and somewhere practical to start.

Hi, I’m Rachel.
Let’s get to the root.

I created the Root Response Assessment to help you begin recognizing your patterns—and where you have an opportunity to make a different choice.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked in leadership, training, coaching, and behavior change. Today, I help successful women recognize and change the learned patterns influencing their decisions, behaviors, and relationships.

I’m a Change Coach, Board Certified Master Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, and Master Life & Success Coach with a master’s degree in Human Resources Development.

Because knowing what you want isn’t always enough. Sometimes you need to understand what happens between your intention and your behavior. And then practice a different response.

Before
you begin.

How long does it take?

Approximately 3 minutes. There are 12 questions, one per screen.

Is it really free?

Yes. The Root Response Assessment is free.

What will my results include?

Your Primary and Secondary Root Responses, the Guarded and Grounded sides of your patterns, and one response to practice.

What if I see myself in more than one?

That’s normal. Different situations can bring out different responses. Your results include a primary and secondary pattern.

What happens after I take it?

You’ll receive personalized results and a practical reflection to help you start recognizing your patterns. Awareness, intentional action, and practice are the next steps.

Is this a clinical or psychological test?

No. It is an educational self-reflection tool, not a clinical assessment, psychological diagnosis, or scientifically validated personality test. Results suggest patterns based on your answers, not fixed traits or identities.

Your relationships don’t
need a perfect you.
They need a more intentional you.
